New England could see some others return, however
The New England Patriots will be without several starters during Sunday’s matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
Harold Landry III (knee), Robert Spillane (ankle), Khyiris Tonga (foot) and Jared Wilson (concussion) were all ruled out on Friday, as shared by head coach Mike Vrabel. Jack Westover (ankle) will be questionable.
Spillane, 30, returned to practice for the first time in several weeks on Friday, so despite him remaining sidelined for the regular season finale, there is hope that he’ll b e ready for the club’s first playoff game — whether that come next week or the week after.
Will Campbell (knee), Milton Williams (ankle) and Alex Austin (wrist) were all full participants this week and are eligible to be activated off injured reserve.
The Patriots will ultimately need to make those decisions at some point before 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
