TreVeyon Henderson Reacts To Being Named Finalist For Prestigious Award

Henderson is capable of a game-changing play at any moment

Running back TreVeyon Henderson was one of five different members of the New England Patriots to be listed among the finalists for the 2025 Associated Press NFL Awards, revealed on Wednesday.

Henderson is a finalist for the Offensive Rookie of the Year honor after recording 911 rushing yards and 10 total touchdowns across 17 regular season games.

The second-round pick discussed the news recently.

“I’m excited, of course,” Henderson said, according to a report by MassLive’s Mark Daniels. “It’s been a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifices. I just thank God for carrying me through, getting me to this point. I couldn’t have done it without my teammate as well.”

Henderson’s 5.1 yards per carry during the regular season was a Patriots rookie record and his 10 scores tied legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski for the third most by a rookie in franchise history.

The 23-year-old has taken a backseat to fifth-year pro Rhamondre Stevenson in the first two postseason games, recording just 59 yards on 23 touches, but Henderson is still capable of a game-changing play at any moment.
