Boston Radio Hosts Rip Tom Brady Over Lame Super Bowl Comments

Brady's come under fire for not supporting New England

After spending 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and winning six Super Bowls with them, you’d think Tom Brady would be rooting for them in the Super Bowl, especially when they’re coached by one of his former teammates.

Apparently, however, Brady is not.

“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one,” Brady said on Monday’s episode of the Let’s Go! podcast.

Obviously, Patriots fans and the local media aren’t too happy about that.

Boston sports talk radio hosts Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti of 98.5 The Sports Hub have been especially critical of Brady’s comments, calling him out this week.

“This comment by Brady should piss you off to no end,” Massarotti said on Tuesday. “You don’t have a dog in the fight? The team that built a statue for you?…Mike Vrabel was one of Brady’s best teammates.”

Felger agreed, saying that Brady doesn’t really care about Patriots fans and never did.

“He just does not give a crap about Boston, or Patriots fans, or the Patriots. He doesn’t,” Felger said, comparing Brady to Larry Bird in that regard. “He left no mark when he was here, hardly. He’s left no mark since he left.”

While Brady is a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and a national TV broadcaster for FOX now, he could still show a little more enthusiasm for his former team. After all, he certainly has no allegiance or ties to the Seattle Seahawks, whom he beat in one of his greatest Super Bowl victories.

Brady is too corporate now and doesn’t want to offend anyone. However, his intentionally bland comments have had the opposite effect in New England.
