Korpisalo will join Team Finland
The Boston Bruins will have nine representatives at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano-Cortina.
Joonas Korpisalo (Finland) was the latest to be added to ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, joining Henri Jokiharju (Finland), Elias Lindholm (Sweden), Hampus Lindholm (Sweden), Dans Locmelis (Latvia), Charlie McAvoy (USA), David Pastrnak (Czechia), Jeremy Swayman (USA) and Pavel Zacha (Czechia).
Korpisalo was named to the roster in place of injured Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.
Korpisalo, 30, has appeared in 324 career games across stints with the Ottawa Senators, Los Angeles Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets and Boston, posting an overall record of 136-125-33 with a 3.05 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Korpisalo, who stands at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, has compiled a 10–8-1 record with a 3.12 goals against average and a .895 save percentage across 21 games in 2025-26.
Finland will compete in Group B alongside hosts Italy, Slovakia and Sweden.
The Bruins will play in their final game before the break on Wednesday, when they visit the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m. ET.
