'What do you have against Tom?'
Tom Brady certainly has his fair share of critics, and it appears that Donna, the mother of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, is among them.
Kelce joined former Patriots stars Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman on their podcast, “Dudes On Dudes”, where he reminisced about the Eagles’ victory over New England in Super Bowl LII and his mom taking a shot at Brady.
“My mom put on her Facebook profile picture, not a picture of me celebrating, but a picture of Tom on the floor, upset that he lost,” Kelce said on Thursday. “I’m like, are you happier that Tom lost, or are you happier that your own son won a game?”
The Eagles triumphed over the Patriots with a score of 41-33, securing their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history.
Donna was likely fed up with watching Brady and the Patriots consistently dominate and reach the Super Bowl, just as many fans outside New England were. If the Patriots had claimed victory in Super Bowl LII, it would have earned Brady his sixth Super Bowl ring at that time.
Brady and the Patriots would go on to win the Super Bowl the following season, securing his sixth title in New England. He accomplished this by overcoming Donna’s other son, Travis Kelce the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, whom the Patriots defeated in the AFC Championship Game during the 2018 season.
