Jaylen Brown Sends Powerful Message To Drake Maye Following Super Bowl Heartbreak

Wise words.

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown has sent a meaningful message to New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in the wake of Maye’s disappointing Super Bowl experience.

During a new live stream, Brown encouraged Maye to turn his Super Bowl loss into fuel, much like how Brown said he used his loss in the 2022 NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors.

Brown also talked about the pain of losing to the Miami Heat in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals after coming back from an 0-3 deficit to tie the series.

“Turn all that hurt into fuel, and I promise you, you’ll be better for it,” Brown said. “Level up, come back even better. Could have been an MVP year should have been an MVP Year for Drake Maye. I stand on that.”

Brown is in an excellent position to mentor Maye because, like Maye, JB knows what it’s like to experience winning at a high level from a young age. Maye was only 23 during this Super Bowl, and while Brown was 25 during his first NBA Finals, he was a part of playoff runs with the Celtics since he was an NBA teenager.

In other words, JB was on Celtics teams for years that fell short of a championship, and he kept using that failure to improve his game in the offseason and “level up”, as he’s encouraging Maye to do.

It’s certainly paid off, not only in the form of a championship ring, but in the fact that Jaylen has become one of the best players in the entire league due to his mental approach.
