Terrell Jennings' season ended on Wednesday
New England Patriots running back Terrell Jennings will not be playing in Super Bowl LX.
Jennings will revert back to injured reserve after his practice window expired on Wednesday, as confirmed by the club’s injury report — meaning that he will not be eligible to play in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Jennings’ season came to an unfortunate end when he suffered a concussion against the New York Giants in Week 13, which ultimately landed him on injured reserve. Jennings then cleared concussion protocol but suffered a hamstring injury during practice just a few days later, ultimately putting a bow on his sophomore season.
The Patriots have done well to fill his shoes at running back, with practice squadder D’Ernest Johnson becoming a routine elevation behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.
It’ll likely look that way once again this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium…
New England and Seattle will battle for the ultimate prize on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
