Do the Raiders have their guy?
The Las Vegas Raiders have apparently found the franchise’s next head coach.
According to a new report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Raiders are set to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next HC, although they can’t officially do so until after Super Bowl LX.
Kubiak has built a steady coaching career in the NFL, rooted in offensive expertise and family legacy as the son of Super Bowl-winning coach Gary Kubiak.
Kubiak began at the college level, serving as an offensive quality control coach at Texas A&M (2010–2011) and a graduate assistant there in 2012. He entered the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings as an offensive quality control coach (2013–2014), then coached wide receivers at Kansas in 2015.
He returned to the pros with the Denver Broncos (2016–2018) as an offensive assistant under his father. After stints back with the Vikings as quarterbacks coach (2019–2020) and offensive coordinator in 2021, he rejoined the Broncos as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2022.
In 2023, Kubiak served as passing game coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. He took his next offensive coordinator role with the New Orleans Saints in 2024.
Kubiak joined the Seahawks as offensive coordinator in January 2025. In his first season there, he orchestrated a strong unit that ranked third in points scored, helping propel Seattle to a 14-3 record, the NFC’s No. 1 playoff seed, and a Super Bowl appearance. His work with quarterback Sam Darnold drew particular praise for revitalizing the offense through balanced schemes and explosive plays.
