Broncos Superstar Predicts Patriots Will Get Blown Out In Super Bowl

Patrick Surtain II is picking the Seahawks

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks are getting ready to face off in the Super Bowl, and Denver Broncos superstar Patrick Surtain II still seems sour about their AFC Championship loss.

Surtain participated in the Pro Bowl festivities while the Patriots prepared for Super Bowl LX. He was asked to predict the outcome of the game, and he expects a blowout.

“35-7 Seahawks,” Surtain told Guerilla Sports on Monday.

The Patriots beat the Broncos 10-7 in the AFC Championship Game. The Broncos were without Bo Nix, and their defense did its part in keeping the game close. However, it was not enough to keep New England from advancing.

Surtain is one of the best players in the NFL. He was the Defensive Player of the Year last season. He is a two-time First-Team All-Pro and was a Second-Team All-Pro this season. He is a four-time Pro Bowler.

During an appearance on “Up & Adams” on Tuesday, Surtain noted he thought the AFC Championship Game would have gone differently with Nix playing.

The Patriots are underdogs in the game, but predicting a blowout shows that Surtain may not be too fond of the Patriots after they knocked him out of the playoffs. The Patriots and Seahawks both won 14 games in the regular season, so they could be seen as evenly matched.

The Patriots’ offense ranked second in points and third in yards in the regular season. The Seahawks have an elite defense, but the Patriots will be one of the best offenses they face all year. On paper, a blowout does not seem likely.

However, Surtain saw the Patriots’ offense firsthand, albeit in the snow, but he thinks it will not be enough to beat Seattle’s stellar defense.
