The Portland Sea Dogs watched plenty of talent depart Sunday when the Boston Red Sox promoted their top three prospects to Triple-A Worcester.

That doesn't mean Boston's Double-A affiliate lacks talent. In fact, it actually puts a deserving prospect in the spotlight.

Kristian Campbell continues to hit, hit and hit some more since earning his promotion to Portland back in June. He won Eastern League Player of the Month and added another level of production to an already-talented lineup of Red Sox prospects. Hitting .378 with a 1.060 OPS, Campbell is the latest star to blossom at Hadlock Field.

This week against the Altoona Curve, the 2023 fourth-rounder stayed on schedule and even tacked on in the power department. Campbell slapped his third home run in as many days on Sunday that eventually helped the Sea Dogs finish off a 9-8 win.

The versatile Red Sox prospect is on a tear in August, entering Sunday hitting .364 with a 1.199 OPS.
