If Boston fans happened to come across the pregame festivities for the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday, they would have recognized a pair of familiar faces, for different reasons: Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk.

The NBA and NHL world champions, respectively, returned to their St. Louis roots on Sunday to throw out the first pitch as the Cardinals hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tatum led the Celtics to their first championship since 2008 while Tkachuk and the Panthers, who defeated the Boston Bruins in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, took home their inaugural Stanley Cup.

Tatum's busy summer of celebration continues after winning the NBA title before a strange path to an Olympic gold medal with Team USA.

As the summer starts to wind down, Tatum's focus will shift back to Boston with the Celtics officially set to begin their title defense on Oct. 22 against the New York Knicks at TD Garden.
