The Miami Dolphins saw this happen to Tua Tagovailoa before, but it didn't make it any easier.

Tagovailoa suffered another scary-looking concussion during the third quarter of Miami's 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday night. Tagovailoa ran for a first down on fourth-and-4 in the Buffalo's red zone, but got his head jarred when he got tackled by Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

Tagovailoa's body went into the concussion fencing position as his teammates motioned to the sideline for the medical staff. Tagovailoa stayed down on the field before walking off with assistance.

"My thought was concern and I was just worried about my guy," Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters, per team-provided video. "Not something that you ever want to be a part of. You hope not to."

McDaniel said Tagovailoa, who had a rough performance up to the point of his injury by completing 17-of-25 passes with one touchdown and three interceptions, went home after the game and will be evaluated more Friday before taking it "one day at a time."

Tagovailoa going down in that type of fashion rocked his teammates as well.

"I'll tell you what. It makes me sick. … I have a lot of love for Tua," Dolphins backup quarterback Skylar Thompson told reporters, per FOX Sports' Henry McKenna.

Tagovailoa has a lengthy concussion history and this is his third diagnosed concussion and likely fourth he has sustained over a two-year period, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
