The Patriots have been going through it ever since Tom Brady left town, but New England might have reached a new low Sunday afternoon.
The Pats suffered an embarrassing 15-10 loss to division rival Miami at Gillette Stadium, which dropped Jerod Mayo's side to 1-4. The Patriots' offense once again was pathetic, but one easily could argue the Tyler Huntley-led Dolphins attack was even worse. And yet, New England found a way to drop the ball in a winnable contest where the coaching staff didn't do the players any favors.
Scott Zolak, like many other members of the Foxboro Faithful, was pretty miffed when the Patriots suffered their fourth straight defeat. So much so that the former New England quarterback put the Week 5 decision in a league of its own.
"This was the worst loss since Tom Brady left the team," Zolak said on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

Patriots fans probably should be prepared for more unsightly losses as the season rolls on. Injuries continue to pile up for New England, and even when healthy, it boasts one of the weaker rosters in football. At this point, the Patriots look very far away from being able to consistently compete with the league's best.
As such, a dramatic offseason with significant changes probably will be necessary.
