The Bruins had a rough first month of the season, and they hope to turn things around in their first game of a new month.
Boston suffered a brutal 8-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Halloween night. Jim Montgomery continues to try to find answers to help the Black and Gold get back into the form expected of them. Alternate captain David Pastrnak backed his head coach and was hopeful he and his teammates could break their slump.
The Bruins didn’t hold a morning skate Friday, so it’s not clear if they’ll roll out the same lineup they did Thursday night. Saturday’s matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers is the first of a back-to-back set for the Black and Gold. They’ll play the Seattle Kraken at TD Garden on Sunday where they’ll also celebrate longtime voice Jack Edwards.
Puck drop for Saturday’s Bruins-Flyers matchup at Wells Fargo Center is scheduled at 1 p.m. ET, and you can catch full coverage on NESN after an hour of pregame.
Here are the projected lines and defensive pairings for Boston and Philadelphia.
