Jayson Tatum had a great Monday night in Atlanta — for the most part.
The Celtics notched their third consecutive double-digit win at State Farm Arena, where the reigning NBA champions walloped the Hawks by 30 points. And it was a particularly great game for Tatum, whose 28 points and nine assists were game-highs.
Still, the five-time All-Star wasn’t all smiles when he and his team left the ATL and started making the trek back to Boston.
“Killer Mike was court-side tonight and I didn’t go say what’s up. I’m sick,” Tatum posted to X early Tuesday morning.
Killer Mike, a legendary rapper based out of Atlanta, caught wind of Tatum’s regret and responded to the 26-year-old.

“It’s all love,” the four-time Grammy Award winner posted to X. “U kicked butt tonight I was sick with ‘damn why we had to lose blues.’ Hope to properly meet and greet in the future. Love and Respect Bro.”
Unfortunately for Tatum, Monday marked the Celtics’ second and final regular-season trip to Atlanta. But perhaps Killer Mike could make his way to TD Garden next Tuesday when the Hawks visit the C’s.
