The Boston Bruins made multiple roster moves Saturday.
General manager Don Sweeney announced in a press release that the Bruins placed defenseman Hampus Lindholm on injured reserve. The Black and Gold also recalled forwards Georgii Merkulov and Riley Tufte from Providence; Patrick Brown was assigned to the P-Bruins as a corresponding move.
Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury in Boston’s win over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. Head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed it would be a week-to-week injury, and the Bruins recalled Jordan Oesterle to fill Lindholm’s spot on the blue line.
Merkulov played four games with Boston last season. He scored two goals and tallied nine assists for 11 points in 12 games for Providence this season.
Tufte started the season with Boston but only played two games. He recorded three goals and one assist for four points in six games with Providence this season.
