Mike Vrabel will be a popular candidate when the NFL coaching carousel starts spinning.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini on Saturday labeled Vrabel as the coach getting the “most hype” around the league. Vrabel was fired by the Tennessee Titans following the 2023 campaign and currently serves as a consultant with the Cleveland Browns.
“For now, the former player-turned-coach getting the most hype around the league is former Titans head coach and current Browns consultant Mike Vrabel,” Russini wrote.
Russini noted how culture-building coaches like Dan Campbell, Mike Tomlin and Raheem Morris are having success.
“Vrabel fits into that category, a former player who can unite a locker room while holding players accountable,” Russini wrote. “He wants to coach in 2025 and I expect him to have his pick of available jobs.”

In other coaching news, Russini reported Bill Belichick wants to return to the sideline next season and labeled the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as suitable options.
