The Boston Red Sox remain right in the middle of the offseason’s biggest race in the pursuit for generational slugger Juan Soto.

Just before the clock turned from Monday to Tuesday, news came in that the Red Sox have reportedly presented their contract offer to Soto and agent Scott Boras, per New York Yankees beat reporter and NJ Advance Media’s Randy Miller and MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

The Red Sox are one of five teams to submit an offer to Soto along with the Yankees, the New York Mets, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays. Miller added that the teams submitted their offers “late last week” to Soto’s camp.

The reported update comes just a day after ESPN’s Buster Olney reported that offers would come in this week. Now with offers on the table, could the Red Sox and the fellow contenders learn of Soto’s decision before Thanksgiving?

Probably not, given the consensus around the sports projected Soto to arrive at a decision just before or at the MLB Winter Meetings in the second week of December.
