The Bruins close out their five-game road trip Thursday and will have a new addition to the lineup.

Boston claimed Oliver Wahlstrom on Saturday, but the Yarmouth, Maine native did not play in the Black and Gold’s wins against the Vancouver Cancuks and Calgary Flames. The 24-year-old will don the Spoked-B on Thursday night against the Edmonton Oilers. Interim head coach Joe Sacco confirmed Wahlstrom would slot in with Trent Fredric and Charlie Coyle. Mark Kastelic will move back to the fourth line with John Beecher and Marc McLaughlin. Cole Koepke will be made a healthy scratch along with Parker Wotherspoon.

Tyler Johnson was placed on unconditional waivers with Wahlstrom’s insertion into the lineup.

The Bruins didn’t start out their West Coast trip well, losing their first two games. But after two wins, Boston can emerge out of Edmonton with a 3-2 record before a two-game homestand.

Puck drop for Bruins-Oilers at Rogers Place is scheduled at 9 p.m. ET, and you can catch full coverage on NESN starting at 8 p.m.
