The Bruins defeated the Washington Capitals 4-1 on Monday night after they held the Caps to just eleven shots on goal throughout the entire game. This was the fewest amount of shots Washington has recorded all season.
Justin Brazeau started the scoring for the B’s with a power play goal late in the first period to give Boston a 1-0 lead. Elias Lindholm, Charlie Coyle, and Brad Marchand each scored in the third period to push the Bruins to a win and improve to 19-13-4 on the season.
The Bruins will be back in action on Friday night as they travel to Columbus to take on the struggling Blue Jackets who have won just two out of their last eight games.
