The 2025 season will mark the start of a new chapter for Walker Buehler.

Buehler is about to embark on his first Major League Baseball campaign outside of Los Angeles. A member of the Dodgers organization since 2015, Buehler officially cut ties with his original club Saturday when he signed a one-year deal with the Red Sox.

The two-time World Series champion clearly is excited about his new opportunity in Boston, but he made sure to bid adieu to the folks in Chavez Ravine after finalizing his free-agent contract.

“I don’t have the words to really describe what the past 9-plus years have meant to me,” Buehler captioned an Instagram post Saturday. “I will always take great pride in the fact I wore this jersey and we brought 2 (expletive) championships back to this city. See y’all around.”

Buehler might have an opportunity to pitch against his former team in his first go-around with the Red Sox. Boston is set to host the reigning World Series champions for a three-game weekend set at Fenway Park in late July.
