Bill Simmons has certainly not held his tongue when it comes to chastising the Patriots this season.

The outspoken media personality and longtime Patriots fan went on another ferocious rant following the latest disastrous New England performance, a 40-7 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.

First-year head coach Jerod Mayo faced loud chants from the fans at Gillette Stadium, calling for his job. While Simmons may not have been at the game, he certainly was loud on social media.

“I’m glad an exclusive Saturday game is showing everyone how bad the Patriots coaching, strategy, defense, play-calling and execution has been for months,” Simmons posted on X. “This team plays like they don’t practice.”

Simmons even questioned why the broadcast didn’t show Robert and Jonathan Kraft every time Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey caught the football. After all, the Patriots did pass on the rookie standout in the second round of the 2024 draft.

The day after the Patriots fell to 3-13 on the season, Simmons continued his rant against the franchise.

“One of many reasons the Pats have to blow it up — what major free agent is considering a poorly-run, poorly-coached, cheaply-owned team that (a) got worse every month, and (b) has players openly questioning its direction?” Simmons wrote. “You think Tee Higgins is gonna be like, ‘I’m intrigued!'”

Despite the outcries, Mayo’s job security has been deemed “BS” by rookie quarterback Drake Maye and “safe” by NFL insiders.

However, the team’s second six-game losing streak of the season and last-place division finish for the second straight season could compel changes from the Krafts.
