Mike Vrabel has to know what he’s doing, right?
Vrabel, arguably the top coaching candidate this offseason, changed his profile picture on social media amid speculation he could take over as the next head coach of the Patriots. Vrabel reportedly “wants” the Patriots job.
Vrabel’s X account now features a profile picture of himself and fellow Patriots legend Tedy Bruschi from their playing days.
The Patriots Hall of Famer continues to be connected to the organization, which could need a new head coach should it move on from Jerod Mayo. ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Sunday morning provided a noteworthy change of tune regarding Mayo’s status.
Patriots fans have differing opinions on whether or not Mayo should be retained. But those who think Robert Kraft and company should move on from him have been quick to point to the fact Vrabel would represent an improvement on the sideline.

The 2021 Coach of the Year certainly fueled that fire with his noteworthy tweak on social media.
