The Patriots are one of six NFL teams searching for their next head coach.
With a limited number of quality candidates available, the teams are more often than not going to be battling each other to fill their vacancy. And the Jacksonville Jaguars have wasted little time requesting interviews from pretty much everyone.
The Jaguars announced Wednesday night they requested an interview with Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
Flores got his start in professional football with the Patriots, serving on Bill Belichick’s staff for more than a decade (2004-2018). He worked his way up from scouting assistant to defensive play-caller (2018).
Flores joins Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and former New York Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh as coaches the Jaguars have requested to interview.

Out of the candidates Jacksonville is pursuing, the Patriots have been linked to several — Flores, Johnson, Glenn and Mike Vrabel.
Vrabel is scheduled to interview with New England on Thursday and has already met with the New York Jets.
