Adrian Peterson, Vincent Jackson Lead NESN.com Reader to Victory in Draftstreet.com’s Fantasy Challenge

NESN.com and Draftstreet.com challenged readers in Week 2 of the NFL season to a one-week fantasy football challenge, with $250 in prize money available. Thanks to big weeks from Vincent Jackson and Adrian Peterson, one NESN.com visitor is going home with the big prize.

A user with the name "numerocat" crushed the competition, finishing with a score of 198.68. The second-place finisher, "nicolejcase," had 177.04 points, while "crossvegas85" finished third with 175.82 points. Users "dak55" and "Bsilvia6885" rounded out the prize pool with 173.68 and 170.64 points, respectively.

Jackson's 10 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns netted "numerocat" 34.2 points, while Peterson's 120 rushing yards, two touchdowns and two catches brought 27.1 points. Solid output from Rob Gronkowski (22.6 points), Mike Wallace (22.6), A.J. Green (23.4) Ryan Fitzpatrick (23.86) and Philip Rivers (21.32) rounded out the team.

NESN.com's team finished in the middle of the pack, in 46th place, with 144.12 points. Tom Brady, Peyton Hillis and Gronkowski were all big contributors, but Plaxico Burress finished with the big zero in the Jets' blowout victory over the Jaguars, which didn't help NESN's cause.
