NFL Week 5 Injury Update: Odell Beckham Jr., Rueben Randle Leave Game

11:30 p.m.: Beckham Jr. returned to the game, but fellow New York wide out Reuben Randle also left with a tweaked hamstring.

11:08 p.m.: Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. left Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers after suffering a hamstring injury. He was listed as questionable to return.

7:46 p.m.: Victor Cruz still isn’t ready to make his season debut. The Pro Bowl wide receiver is among the Giants’ inactives for Sunday night’s game against the 49ers.

Cruz, who is coming off a knee injury, is dealing with a lingering calf issue, too. There’s still no timetable for his return. He’s expected to be reevaluated Monday.

6:50 p.m.: It’s been a tough day on the injury front for the Patriots. Offensive lineman Nate Solder joined linebacker Dont’a Hightower in exiting Sunday’s game because of an injury.

6:44 p.m.: An update on Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower:

5:50 p.m.: The Broncos’ defense has been scary good this season, but an injury to DeMarcus Ware certainly hurts the unit. He’s questionable to return Sunday against the Raiders.

5:32 p.m.: Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower left Sunday’s game against the Cowboys with a rib injury. He since has gone to the locker room for further evaluation.

Hightower is questionable to return.

4:21 p.m.: Delanie Walker wasn’t the only one of Marcus Mariota’s targets banged up Sunday. Wide receiver Kendall Wright left the Titans’ game against the Bills with an apparent head injury.

Wright collided with cornerback Stephon Gilmore on Tennessee’s final offensive play of the game.

4:18 p.m.: Titans tight end Delanie Walker exited Tennessee’s game against Buffalo with an apparent hip injury.

4:15 p.m.: Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon suffered a groin injury against the Buccaneers.

4:13 p.m.: Saints wide receiver Marques Colston couldn’t play through his injury any longer.

Colston landed hard on his shoulder early in New Orleans’ game against Philadelphia. He toughed it out for a while but eventually headed to the locker room in the fourth quarter.

3:56 p.m.: Joe Haden’s day is over. That’s obviously a big blow to the Browns’ secondary.

3:32 p.m.: This could be very bad news for the Chiefs.

3:15 p.m.: Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has left Sunday’s game with a knee injury and will not return.

Here’s a video of the injury, and it doesn’t look good:

2:49 p.m.: Rams wide receiver Kenny Britt suffered an injury against the Packers.

2:47 p.m.: Sam Bradford is down a weapon.

2:45 p.m.: Some good news out of Atlanta: Falcons wide receiver Leonard Hankerson has returned.

2:38 p.m.: The Bills took another hit at running back.

Cierre Wood exited Buffalo’s game against Tennessee with a knee injury. Wood had to be carted to the locker room and will not return.

The Bills, of course, are without running backs LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams this week because of injuries. That means the backfield currently belongs to Boobie Dixon and Boom Herron.

2:08 p.m.: Leonard Hankerson was a popular fantasy football pickup this week. The Falcons wide receiver left Sunday’s game against the Redskins, though, so that’ll frustrate some owners.

Hankerson exited the contest with a rib injury. He’s undergoing X-rays, after which more information should be available, but the 26-year-old wideout walked gingerly back to the locker room.

For now, Hankerson’s return is questionable.

11:46 a.m.: The folks at Pro Football Talk have compiled a handy list of inactives for the NFL’s early games. Check it out here.

11:35 a.m.: NFL Network’s Rich Eisen provided some Cowboys updates with a gem of a line.

11:32 a.m.: Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins and Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery both are inactive.

11:30 a.m.: Good news, fantasy owners. Julio Jones officially is active, as is Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas, who will make his NFL debut.

9:40 a.m.: Things aren’t looking good in the Buffalo Bills’ backfield.

According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, backup running back Karlos Williams could miss next week as well as this Sunday, while starter LeSean McCoy is expected to be out “at least the rest of the month.”

9:25 a.m.: ESPN’s Ed Werder offered a few interesting tidbits on the banged-up Dallas Cowboys ahead of Sunday’s showdown with the New England Patriots.

9:18 a.m.: Julio Jones might not see his usual monster workload Sunday, according to ESPN.com’s Vaughn McClure.

9:12 a.m.: Good news for the Cleveland Browns on the injury front, as it appears they’ll have the services of top cornerback Joe Haden.

8:50 a.m.: The Buffalo Bills are hurting on offense, and they’ll reportedly be without their top wide receiver, as well.

8:40 a.m.: The fantasy world is expected to get a few big names back in Week 5.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant and San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates will make their 2015 debuts on “Monday Night Football” after each serving four-suspensions. Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas also is expected to be back in action, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, after missing the first four games with a thumb injury.

But not all fantasy news is good news. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is questionable with a hamstring injury that reportedly is concerning to the team, while it appears Chicago Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery will miss yet another game with his own nagging hamstring issues.

There will be plenty more injury news as we lead up to kickoff, so keep it on NESN.com for the latest updates.
