FanDuel Week 1 DFS Lineup: Eli Manning, Seahawks’ D Among Best Fantasy Picks

The start of the 2016 NFL season has arrived, and you can play one-week fantasy football games and set new lineups every week with FanDuel.

Check out our ideal FanDuel lineup for Week 1.

Quarterback: Eli Manning, New York Giants ($7,200)
Manning will face a Dallas Cowboys defense with a weak front seven that likely won’t muster much of a pass rush. It also helps that Manning has a loaded group of talented receivers to target, including Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz and Sterling Shepard.

Running Backs: Spencer Ware, Kansas City Chiefs ($5,400); Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($7,200)
Ware is expected to receive the bulk of the carries for Kansas City because Jamaal Charles still is working his way back from major knee surgery. Ware also will play against a San Diego Chargers defense that allowed the second-most yards per carry (4.8) in the league last season.

Martin finished second in rushing yards in 2015 and should start the 2016 campaign on the right foot against an Atlanta Falcons defense that surrendered 4 yards per carry and the most rushing touchdowns (20) last season.

Wide Receivers: Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks ($6,400); Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders ($7,100); Donte Moncrief, Indianapolis Colts ($6,200)
Baldwin scored 11 touchdowns in the final six games of last season and in Week 1 plays a Miami Dolphins defense that allowed 31 passing touchdowns and 7.8 yards per attempt in 2015.

Cooper is primed for a breakout campaign and should get off to a good start versus a New Orleans Saints defense that gave up 45 passing touchdowns last season.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

Moncrief has a nice matchup against the Detroit Lions, who have zero elite cornerbacks and allowed 7.7 yards per pass attempt and 27 passing touchdowns last season.

Tight End: Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles ($5,700)
Ertz will be a nice security blanket for Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz in his first career start. It also helps that Ertz will play against a Cleveland Browns defense that allowed the second-most passing touchdowns and yards per pass in 2015.

Kicker: Dan Bailey, Dallas Cowboys ($4,800)
Bailey arguably is the league’s best kicker and the most accurate from 50 yards and beyond. The Cowboys also might struggle to score touchdowns with rookie quarterback Dak Prescott making his first-ever start against a much-improved Giants defense.

Defense: Seattle Seahawks ($5,000)
The Seahawks’ vaunted defense will play against Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, which is all you really need to know. The spread on this game is Seattle -10.5 for a reason — Miami is a bad team.

The Dolphins were one of just three teams last season to average less than 20 points scored per game, and it’s hard to see them hitting that mark against this Seahawks defense.
