NFL Week 2 Odds: Seahawks Favored Vs. Rams In NFL’s Los Angeles Return

The NFL makes its return to Los Angeles on Sunday when the Rams host the Seattle Seahawks as 6 1/2-point betting underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Rams posted straight-up wins in three of their four final meetings with Seattle while based in St. Louis, but take a two-game SU losing streak overall into Sunday afternoon’s Seahawks vs. Rams betting matchup at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The Seahawks eked out a 12-10 win over the Miami Dolphins last weekend, failing to cover as 10 1/2-point home chalk, but are 6-1 SU in their past seven road contests, 4-3 ATS, holding opponents to single-digit point totals on five occasions.

Down the road in San Diego, injuries to key personnel could play a role when the Chargers host the Jacksonville Jaguars as three-point favorites. San Diego receiver Keenan Allen suffered a season-ending knee injury in last weekend’s 33-27 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that leaves the Chargers winless in their past three, while rookie defensive end Joey Bosa also has been ruled out.

The Jaguars will be without rusher Chris Ivory and cornerback Prince Amukamara as they seek to end a four-game SU losing streak, including a 27-23 home loss to the Green Bay Packers last week as 4 1/2-point underdogs.

Earlier in the day, the Dallas Cowboys visit the Washington Redskins as small three-point underdogs. Dak Prescott once again will run the Cowboys’ offense in place of injured quarterback Tony Romo.

Last week, Dallas suffered its 12th SU loss in its past 13 games without Romo, falling 20-19 at home to the New York Giants and extending its current SU losing streak to five, 0-3-2 against the spread. However, the Cowboys’ sole victory without their star QB came against the defending NFC East champions, a 19-16 win as two-point underdogs in Week 13 last year.

A pair of AFC North matchups also hit the field early Sunday, as the Pittsburgh Steelers are favored by three points against the visiting Cincinnati Bengals, while the Baltimore Ravens visit the Cleveland Browns as 6 1/2-point road chalk.

The Bengals have lost five of six SU to the Steelers, but are undefeated SU and ATS in their past seven September contests, according to the OddsShark NFL Database. Cleveland has lost 14 of 16 SU to Baltimore, which held the Buffalo Bills to just 160 total yards in an impressive 13-7 Week 1 win.

Finally, the Minnesota Vikings will christen brand new U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday night with an NFC North matchup against the Packers as 2 1/2-point underdogs, while the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Chicago Bears for a “Monday Night Football” matchup as three-point underdogs.
