If Roger Goodell is serious about the league expanding to Europe, Patriots owner Robert Kraft can be counted as one of his supporters.
"I think it could [happen]," Kraft told the St. Petersburg Times in regards to the addition of an NFL franchise in Europe. "I really believe it's the right thing to do in the next decade. We have great support here and in Germany."
Kraft also expressed concern over the current system in place for international games, costing one of the teams a valued home game.
"I'm not sure our fans would appreciate us giving up a home game," Kraft said. "I know I wouldn't."
The Europeans appear to be more concerned with Kraft's interest in the other football, with Kraft once again discussing his interest in purchasing a team in the English Premier League.
"Kraft said Friday at a sports summit in London that he 'has looked a some clubs on the continent' and loves the Premier League, but 'doesn't want to be in a business where the wallet will determine what kind of players you have,'" according to USA Today.
