Bobby Orr, Ken Hodge and Rick Smith will attend the Bruins' 40th anniversary celebration of their 1969-70 Stanley Cup championship team.

The celebration will take place March 18 at the TD Garden prior to the Bruins-Penguins game. Members of the championship team will participate in a ceremonial puck drop.

Other celebration participants from the 1969-70 team include John Bucyk, Gary Doan, Eddie Johnston, Don Marcotte, John McKenzie, Derek Sanderson, Dallas Smith, Fred Stanfield, Eddie Westfall, head coach Harry Sinden and trainer Dan Canney.

Orr's 1969-70 season is considered one of the most impressive in NHL history. The defenseman's performance earned him the Norris, Hart, Ross and Smythe Trophies.

The 1969-70 Bruins lost only twice in postseason play and defeated the St. Louis Blues in the 1970 Stanley Cup Finals to earn their first championship in 29 years.
