BOSTON — Team sources told NESN.com that defenseman Dennis Seidenberg will travel with the team to Washington.

NESN's Naoko Funayama confirmed the news to NESN insider James Murphy. Seidenberg left Saturday's game with five minutes left in the first period with a wrist injury after being slashed by a skate. The 28-year-old went to the hospital but all indications are that the injury is not serious.

Acquired from the Florida Panthers on March 3, Seidenberg has evolved into one of Boston's most valuable defensemen and is a free agent following the year.

It is unknown if Seidenberg will be able to dress for Monday's game against the Capitals.
