If it were up to Cam Neely, Boston wouldn't have to wait long to see what forward Tyler Seguin can do for the Bruins.

Although Neely was recently named team president, it's essentially up to Seguin as to how fast and how much the No. 2 overall pick in last week's draft will impact the club. Neely, the legendary Black and Gold winger would like to see the hyped rookie center waste no time.

"I'd be surprised if he doesn't [make the team in 2010]." Neely said on WEEI on Monday. "We are certainly counting on him to make our team, based on everything that I've been hearing from scouts. He should be able to make our lineup next year and it's a matter of what kind of impact he's going to have. But he should be able to make our lineup."

As of now, Seguin will be jockeying with fellow centermen Marc Savard, David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron for playing time when camp starts this summer. The B's recently traded away fourth-line center Vladimir Sobotka, in an apparent move to clear up some space down the middle of the ice for the club's prized draft pick.
