This whole thing is getting ridiculous.

ESPN found sources (from within ESPN) to divulge a bit more information regarding LeBron James‘ live announcement on his future. A report on Wednesday night said that James is expected to make his announcement within the first 10 minutes of the hourlong broadcast on ESPN on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.

That’s good news for basketball fans who don’t want to sit around for an hour to watch LeBron’s dog and pony show, but given the heaps of misinformation, rumors and lies that have been flying around since July 1, it shouldn’t be considered a guarantee.

The report also said that James will make his decision at the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Conn., and will be introduced by veteran broadcaster Jim Gray, who was “hand-picked by James’ team.” Michael Wilbon will also sit down for a “long-form” interview with James during the broadcast.

And we’ll all be tuned in, whether we like it or not.
