While Victor Martinez returns to the Red Sox' lineup, Kevin Youkilis and David Ortiz swap spots as the club prepares to face newly acquired Dan Haren and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Youkilis will bat third for just the second time this year. The first occasion went well as the Boston first baseman was 3-for-4 and reached base five times in six plate appearances.

Ortiz is the cleanup hitter for the fifth time in 2010. He is 5-for-17 (.294) with five RBIs in the role.

Martinez will bat sixth in his first game since June 27, when he suffered a broken left thumb in San Francisco. Since his injury, Red Sox catchers went 12-for-74 (.162) with two RBIs, both of which came in June when Jason Varitek drove in a pair.

Ortiz, Martinez and third baseman Adrian Beltre, who will comprise the 4-6 hitters in the Red Sox' lineup, are a collective 31-for-72 (.431) with five home runs and 15 RBIs against Haren. The rest of the Boston starters are an unsightly 3-for-41 (.073).
