Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested early Tuesday morning on a drunken driving charge in New York.

"We are very disappointed in Braylon's actions this morning. The Player Protect program is in place for our organization to prevent this situation. Braylon is aware of this program and showed poor judgment," the Jets said in a statement. "We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures."

The wideout was seen driving erratically in his Range Rover with heavily tinted windows at 34th St. and Twelfth Ave. at 5:13 a.m., according to cops.

When Police pulled him over, they smelled alcohol and Edwards blew .16 on a breathalyzer — twice the legal limit, according to the New York Daily News. He was in police custody Tuesday morning and will be arraigned Tuesday afternoon, which happens to be the Jets' day off.

The Michigan alum, who was signed this offseason to a one-year, $6.1 million deal, caught a touchdown pass on Sunday in the Jets' victory over the New England Patriots. The former first-rounder is no stranger to grabbing headlines for his off-field fumbles as he was accused of punching a friend of NBA star LeBron James last fall, which led to probation and a $1,000 fine after pleading no contest to misdemeanor aggravated disorderly conduct.
