Several Boston University alumni have skated in the NHL, but only one player has been drafted higher than defenseman Scott Lachance.

Thursday's The Four's Question of the Day asked which BU Terrier was drafted No. 4 overall in the 1991 draft by the New York Islanders.

Lachance was drafted fourth overall by the Isles in 1991, and spent eight years with the team before moving on to the Montreal Canadiens in 1998. He also played for the Canucks and the Blue Jackets during his career.

Only one other BU hockey player has been drafted higher in program history, and that was Thursday night's starting goaltender, Rick DiPietro, who was drafted first overall in 2000.

Lachance spent one season with the Terriers, scoring five goals while adding 19 assists. He is married to Jacqueline Parker, the daughter of BU head coach Jack Parker.
