Tim Thomas made headlines over the weekend when he essentially guaranteed the Bruins would win their best-of-seven Eastern Conference final series.

On Monday night, he did all he could to make sure that would happen. Thomas, who made his guarantee after his team lost Game 4, made arguably the save of the year in Boston's 3-1 win on Monday night.

Thomas slid across the crease to make an incredible sprawling save with his paddle to preserve a 2-1 lead, before a Rich Peverley empty-net goal sealed the win with just seconds to play.
