The Patriots may have found another wide-receiving threat, and it’s one that has been linked to them for some time now.

According to Local-12 WKRC in Cincinnati, the Patriots have acquired Chad Ochocinco from the Bengals for an undisclosed draft choice. ESPN’s John Clayton reports that the wide receiver has accepted a restructured three-year deal.

It’s been no secret that Ochocinco would be interested in playing for the Patriots under Bill Belichick. It’s also no secret that Belichick apparently respects the type of player that Ochocinco is. Add that to Ochocinco’s displeasure with the Bengals as well as his willingness to restructure his contract, and Tom Brady apparently has his new weapon.

The 33-year-old Ochocinco caught 67 passes for 831 yards and four touchdowns last season for the Bengals.

Shortly after the news broke of the deal, Ochocinco tweeted, “God is so Good.”
