Baseball’s postseason is always full of great moments. Before the first game of the 2011 postseason even began, one of those moments took place.

Cooper Stone, son of Shannon Stone, the Rangers’ fan who passed away in an unfortunate accident when he reached for a ball and fell from a walkway, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Rangers and Rays ALDS matchup.

Catching Cooper’s pitch was Josh Hamilton, who threw the ball that led to Shannon’s accidental fall. Cooper still regards Hamilton as his favorite player.
