Tom Brady Edges Drew Brees, Eli Manning Among Quarterbacks on Bleacher Report’s NFL 1,000 ListThe NFL has become a very pass-happy league over the past decade, and quarterbacks have taken advantage of the change in offensive philosophy.

The 2011 season featured the most total passing yards in league history, including three quarterbacks who threw for more than 5,000 yards — Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady and new single-season record-holder Drew Brees (5,476).

But while Brees may have topped the stat chart and Eli Manning led his team to another Super Bowl title, another signal-caller sits atop Bleacher Report's list of the NFL's 50 best quarterbacks.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finds himself all alone at the top of the league's most coveted position, adding yet another title to his arsenal to go along with his Super Bowl ring and patented touchdown dance.

Brady checks in at No. 2.

Bleacher Report's extensive list breaks down each quarterback's performance and skill set in 10 position specific categories, including accuracy, arm strength and pocket presence, among others.

The quarterback rankings are the first installment in a 20-part, 10-week series from Bleacher Report, which will rank the top players at each position around the league and determine the top 1,000 players in the NFL today.

The next edition will focus on left tackles and is set to debut on Thursday, Feb. 23.
