Alex Morgan, Parents Partied Too Hard in London After Winning Olympic Gold (Video)

Alex Morgan and her parents blew off some steam after the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team won Olympic gold.

And by steam we mean enough to power the industrial revolution that was so vividly depicted in the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Morgan appeared on Access Hollywood on Tuesday to talk about her Olympic experience.

First, she discussed the goal that sent the U.S. into the final. She called the extra-time winner over Canada the “best goal of my career.”

The rest of the interview concerned the after-party. Morgan offered up a few gems, saying she partied — with her parents — from around midnight until 6:30 a.m. the next morning.

Impressive as that statistic may be, she also revealed that her folks fell asleep on the train, missed their stop and ended up … nobody is sure where. Also, her father ended up missing his flight among other calamities that occurred the next day.

It sounds like it was all in good fun and worth it. Good thing London is not like Las Vegas, otherwise we would have never known about these Olympic-sized shenanigans.
