Tension was running high on the field as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady shook hands after the Patriots topped the Broncos 34-31 in overtime Sunday night, but it wasn’t the pair of quarterbacks who almost threw down.
After New England staged the largest comeback in franchise history, the Pats finished off their unbelievable comeback with Stephen Gostkowski kicking the ball through the uprights. All that was left in Manning-Brady XIV was the postgame handshake, which proved to be much more exciting than expected.
The shot of the night for a couple of photographers evolved into a shoving match, as one seemed to get in the way of the other, prompting some dirty looks and forceful one-handed pushing.
