Munenori Kawasaki Gives Must-See Interview About Learning English (Video)

Munenori Kawasaki is one enthusiastic ballplayer.

The infielder was recalled from the Toronto Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo on Thursday after Maicer Izturis went down with an LCL tear. It appears Kawasaki has been hard at work off the field, too, telling SportsNet Canada he has been studying English and Spanish every day.

The intensity, the passion, the desire to communicate with this teammates — Major League Baseball needs more players like Kawasaki.

The native of Japan played 96 games for the Blue Jays last season, posting a .229 batting average with one home run, 24 RBIs and one unforgettable postgame interview.
