Bruins rookie winger David Pastrnak played the role of hero Sunday night by scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to give Boston an important 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Carl Soderberg made a good rush down the right side of the attacking zone and sent a centering pass that eluded Milan Lucic and came to a wide-open Pastrnak. The 18-year-old forward blasted a one-timer past Hurricanes goaltender Anton Khudobin to end the game.
