Just like last week’s preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots offense didn’t find the end zone against the Carolina Panthers on Friday night until the end of the first half.
Tom Brady and new tight end Scott Chandler connected on an 18-yard touchdown (Brady’s first of the preseason) to give the Patriots a 7-6 lead entering halftime. Brady completed 5 of 6 passes for 71 yards on the drive.

Brady, and the Pats offense as a whole, struggled for most of the first half Friday. New England punted three times on its first five drives, and the other two ended on Brady interceptions.
Luckily for the Patriots, the defense played well against Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.
