The first period of Friday’s Boston Bruins-Calgary Flames game was a highly eventful one for Johnny Gaudreau.
Gaudreau scored the game’s first goal, assisted on the second and was sent to the penalty box after he and Brad Marchand picked up matching roughing minors. Then, the real fun started.
As the two diminutive wingers skated to their respective sin bins, they engaged in some decidedly non-family-friendly banter.

It’s not too hard to decipher Marchand’s chirps, but the Boston College product didn’t appear to be too bothered by them.

The two continued to command the spotlight even after they returned to the ice. Marchand scored less than a minute after exiting the box, and Gaudreau followed with his second goal of the game just 20 seconds later.
UPDATE (12:15 p.m. ET): Marchand’s and Gaudreau’s contributions didn’t stop there. The former scored on a penalty shot to give the Bruins the lead with 1:06 remaining in regulation, and after the Flames rallied to force overtime, the latter potted the game-winner, capping his second career hat trick and giving Calgary a 5-4 win.
