The United States has dominated the women’s gymnastic competitions at the 2016 Olympics, but the same can’t be said for the men in Wednesday’s individual all-around.
The U.S. men failed to medal in Rio de Janeiro, as Sam Mikulak finished in seventh place at 89.631. Japan’s Kohei Uchimura earned his second consecutive gold medal in the event by outlasting Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev (silver) and Great Britain’s Max Whitlock (bronze).
