Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest is about to get even bigger.
Time magazine revealed that Kaepernick will be featured on the cover of its Oct. 3 issue. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback is pictured kneeling, just as he’s been doing since last month during the “Star Spangled Banner” before games in protest of what he believes is the mistreatment of minorities in the United States.

Many athletes have followed in Kaepernick’s footsteps and joined the protest in some manner. It’s a polarizing topic that has generated plenty of debate, so Time magazine’s decision to feature Kaepernick on its cover certainly will further the conversations that have been had since he first protested during the national anthem before a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 26.
