As two of the best players in the NFL at their respective positions, Rob Gronkowski and Earl Thomas share a mutual respect.
After Thomas leveled Gronkowski during Sunday’s New England Patriots-Seattle Seahawks game, Gronkowski praised the hit, calling it one of the hardest he’d ever taken.
And when it was reported the Patriots tight end might have suffered a punctured lung — or, at the very least, some sort of chest injury — in the collision, Thomas took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his admiration for Gronkowski’s play.
Nothing but respect for Gronk. One of the best I've lined up against. Hoping to see him back on the field sooner than later.

Thomas’ Seahawks got the better of Gronk’s Patriots on Sunday, pulling out a 31-24 victory in a thrilling rematch of Super Bowl XLIX.
