Just because Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky are famous and make a lot of money doesn’t mean they get to spend all day in bed watching Netflix together. They spend time at work away from their loved ones just like the rest of us.
The eighth-ranked golfer in the world was away from his wife this week, competing in the WGC-HSBC Champions. But an incredibly unlucky bounce earned him a double-bogey on the eighth hole.
He finished tied for fifth.
Johnson hasn’t had the luckiest year on the greens, and this water-bound bounce just underlined his misfortune. Knowing this, Gretzky tried to cheer up her disappointed husband — in a very public manner.
Gretzky posting scantily-clad photos on her Instagram is nothing new, but this very personal (yet very public) gesture had Johnson feeling some type of way.
Well that escalated quickly.
